๐ Our promise to families
Bubbly Bean is designed to help children learn, play and explore in a positive environment. We aim to put children's best interests first, minimise unnecessary personal data and make privacy and safety information easy to find.
Child-first design
We design ordinary activities so a child does not need to create a personal profile or provide unnecessary personal information. The UK ICO Children's Code applies to online services likely to be accessed by children and includes principles such as high privacy by default, data minimisation and transparency. ๎cite๎turn0search1๎turn0search3๎
Privacy by default
Our intended approach is to keep optional tracking and profiling off unless there is a lawful and appropriate reason and the required consent or safeguards are in place. The ICO Children's Code says high-privacy defaults should be used unless there is a compelling reason otherwise. ๎cite๎turn0search3๎turn0search9๎
No unnecessary location
Bubbly Bean does not need a child's precise location for its ordinary learning, story, song or game activities. The Children's Code includes switching off non-essential geolocation by default. ๎cite๎turn0search10๎
Parent involvement
Parents and carers can use the Family Hub, Parent Guide and legal pages to understand how the website works. We encourage adults to explore online activities with younger children.
